Our newborn University, University of Taif, through this portal touches the doors of the Internet, thus serving students through this trial broadcasting which aims to serve the university students in all that is related to their academic affairs, namely, registration, academic records, receivables finance and follow them up. Also, this portal enables the students to contact the staff members directly and communicate with them the problems they might encounter. Moreover, faculty and staff members can access the site, get information about their academic and administrative affairs, etc. We look at this pilot phase to benefit from your comments and send them to the email listed on this page as a contribution in building this site in the best way when the actual launch starts, knowing that what is seen now is only 10% of what has been prepared. Today, Taif University is located within the precincts of King Saud's Palace in Hawiyya, an outlying suburb of Taif, about 25 km due north. The campus, whose area is approximately 380,000 square meters, consists of three palaces that have been restored and renovated to combine modernity and technology on the one hand with majestic antiquity and traditional architecture on the other. The College of Education and the Central Library are currently located in the Government Palace. In contrast, the University Administration is located in the Residential Palace, connected to the Government Palace by a 200-meter long corridor. The third palace, which formerly belonged to the King's mother, is where the Heritage Museum will be.
The University was also granted the Prince Sultan Ibn Abdelaziz Medical Complex, which now houses the College of Medicine and Medical Science and the College of Pharmacy. Given its future ambitions, the University has also received a land grant totaling about 16,000,000 SqM in the Sayyad National Recreational Park, where the new University campus will be.
The University was given a land grant of about 17,000,000 square meters for its new future university city. As the blueprints for the general location, college buildings, university hospital, ancillary facilities, and dormitories have been completed, work is already underway with an estimated cost of 480.000.000SAR.
Because of the importance of extracurricular activities, what with their positive impact on polishing students' creative energies, the University has also established specialized centers where students can practice various cultural, social, scientific, and sports activities.
In academic research, the University established specialized labs and hi-tech research centers to enable faculty members and researchers to conduct their research in all academic and applied fields. References, books, and periodicals in all fields were also acquired by the University, while the Central Library was provided with online services for the benefit of students and faculty members alike.
With the launch of its new website, the University hopes to achieve its future ambitions to promote high-quality instruction and foster bonds with the local community in such a way as to advance national development and raise the qualification standards of its graduates.
According to international standards, Taif University seeks to develop, support, and convey knowledge through effective educational and research administration to ensure sustainable development efforts.
