Dar Al Uloom is one of the most distinguished private universities in the Kingdom, directed towards promoting higher education and investment in sustained human capital. It is also working on rehabilitating male and female students to be qualified scientifically in the labor market while providing an encouraging environment for excellence, creativity, and success. The University is aiming to gain a well-established scientific identity that provides a positive balance between three pillars: education, scientific research, and community service. The Directorate of Quality (DQ) was set up with the primary role to lead DAU’s various change initiatives and programs aimed at upholding the highest quality standards and ensuring compliance with the University’s policies and procedures, as well as fulfilling the requirements for accreditation and quality assurance of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAA) and other internationally recognized accrediting authorities. It plays a pivotal role at both institution and program levels. Developing of the featured academic and administrative system in the Dar Al Uloom University through planning and continuous improvement based on a continuous and effective quality management system. To lead DAU’s quality and development programs and initiatives to ensure its advancement and sustainability as one of the leading institutions in the KSA and the Gulf region. Goals: To facilitate the development and implementation of the university-wide annual planning process following DAU’s 5-year strategic plan To develop and guide the implementation of DAU’s quality assurance activities and programs To develop tools and techniques to support the University’s planning and quality improvement efforts To develop and enhance DAU’s governance system and to ensure compliance with the policies and local and international standards To facilitate capacity building programs to create awareness and enhance faculty and staff competencies in quality and planning areas To prepare DAU both institutionally and programmatically for local and international accreditation and ensure adherence to applicable standards To establish local and international strategic partnerships and alliances to support the development and improvement of DAU’s academic programs and processes, and To support DAU’s infrastructural development and expansion projects and initiatives.
