Early Education celebrates the joy of being young and encourages children to collaborate and communicate with others as they explore, experiment, and discover, take risks, create, imagine, and interact with their environment. Children may commence in our Playgroup or Early Learning Centre at six weeks of age and continue in Kindergarten and Primary School. The children are at the center of our philosophy. We ensure that their voice, culture, identity, and interests are represented and reflected in their Early Learning and Kindergarten experience.
Our Early Learning Centre promotes children'schildren's engagement with the natural environment. This program follows the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF), where purposeful and goal-centered play is how our children learn concepts and acquire skills. We value the children's role in constructing their learning and seek to promote excitement for learning by recognizing and responding to each child's child's ideas and interests through play. Our staff offers children the freedom to explore, use their senses, and be physically active.
Our Kindergarten program seeks to motivate individual learning, encourage small group collaboration, and celebrate peer achievement in a mutual respect climate. The Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline is the program'sprogram's foundation delivered through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework. Our Kindergarten curriculum places the child at the center of the program. It focuses on developing involved learners and confident and caring children who share strong relationships with peers, families, and staff.
We celebrated our commitment to providing a nurturing educational experience for our youngest learners in 2016 as the Kindergarten and Early Learning Centre engaged in the National Quality Assessment and Rating process. Both services were rated as ''Exceeding the National Quality Standard'Standard' with particular acknowledgment and commendations for our strong relationships with children, families, and communities.
